DAY 1 - MONTREAL AIRPORT
ACTIVITIES: FREE TIME + SHOPPING

Welcome to the world's second-largest French-speaking city after Paris. For your first night we have chosen a comfortable downtown hotel, the Delta Montréal***. There you will find your Authentik travel book with all the details of your adventure including a road map indicating your route, as well as a personalised roadbook, a host of practical tourist information, a 24-hour toll-free assistance number, vouchers, etc.

DAY 2 - MONTREAL / MAURICIE (160 km)

Breakfast. You pick up your rental car (or take the Auberge Sacacomie shuttle, if this is the option you chose) and set out for the beautiful Mauricie region. For the next several days, you will be staying in an enchanting natural setting at the luxurious Auberge Sacacomie.

At Auberge Sacacomie you will enjoy gourmet cuisine featuring regional specialties. And a host of activities await you: snowmobiling, dog sledding, snowshoeing, ice fishing, ice skating, snow tubing... There is even a spa offering a wide selection of treatments and massages... A dream location, at the heart of Canada's vast untamed spaces.

4-course dinner with a local flavour.

DAY 3 - MAURICIE
ACTIVITIES: DOG SLEDDING

Breakfast. This morning you will experience the beauty of winter in its most pristine state, by dog sled. At the reins of your team of Huskies, you will glide through the profound silence of the boreal forest. Half a day travelling through the immense whiteness of the land of lakes and rivers, warmly bundled in furs. You will be served hot drinks in a rustic camp when you return.

Lunch at the Auberge and the afternoon off to enjoy the site and its spa.

Dinner and the night at Sacacomie.

DAY 4 - MAURICIE
ACTIVITIES: SNOWMOBILE SAFARI

Breakfast. This morning or this afternoon, you will set out to discover the winter wonderland by snowmobile. In the company of your certified snowmobile guide, let your sense of adventure lead you to the heart of Mastigouche Wildlife Reserve. The trails will reveal snow-covered forests and frozen lakes, visions that you have hitherto only dreamed of! The adventure continues through legendary beautiful Canadian winter landscapes until it is time to head back to Auberge Sacacomie to return your equipment and your snowmobile.

Dinner and a good night's sleep at Sacacomie.

DAY 5 - MAURICIE
ACTIVITIES: ICE FISHING, SNOWSHOEING AND MEETING A TRAPPER

Breakfast. Just like the "coureurs de bois" of the last century, you will set out on snowshoes in the company of Pierre, an authentic trapper. You will explore this vast snowy territory, while learning about the lifestyle of the trapper and the important role that he played in Canada's history. During this adventure, you will experience various aspects of forest life, follow animal tracks in the snow, and get in touch with nature in a most profound way.

You will also discover an old Inuit tradition, ice fishing. On a frozen lake, you will sink your lines and "tickle the trout", like the Eskimos in the Far North.




DAY 6 - MAURICIE / MONTREAL (160 KM)
ACTIVITY: FREE TIME TO DISCOVER THE CITY

Breakfast at Auberge Sacacomie, then departure for Montreal in your rented car (or by transport organized by Sacacomie, if this is the option you chose).

Use this day to discover the charm of Quebec's metropolis. Lunch and dinner on your own in Montreal.

DAY 7 - MONTREAL AIRPORT

Breakfast. Last moments to enjoy Montreal before heading to the airport to check in for your flight home.

It is time to leave the the land of snow and winter sports, your hearts full of memories that will last a lifetime.
