Our Canadian dream destination road trip ...

From the moment we landed until the moment we were due to fly home our trip was definitely WOW at every turn. We have been asked which was our favourite place/moment but we honestly cannot answer as one destination lead to the next they were all amazing !

The Icefield Parkway is everything and more of what it promises to be. Vancouver Island definitely needs to be explored. We had read that Whistler was not as good as other places but we loved it. We chose to explore some of the less know places over the "iconic" ones and were never disappointed.

We drove an anti clockwise route from Vancouver through to the Rockies and round back to Vancouver Island . We found Canadian drivers to be generous and courteous on the road which made the drive (mostly) a pleasure especially as for us everything was opposite to what we are used to in Australia.

If we were to do the trip again we would try to squeeze another few days onto the trip and stay 3 nights in places rather than 2. This would've made it much more relaxing with downtime to explore. (Please note that coming from Australia we are used to travelling long distances).

All the hotels recommended and chosen were excellent but the standout for us was Hotel Zed in Tofino Vancouver Island. It is AMAZING.

We loved the Road Book and the App.
We only had one hiccup - completely our own fault for not reading information correctly - we were not allowed to pick up our hire car as my husband only had a digital licence, thank fully we did manage to hire another car from a different company and after a stressful hour we were on our way.

We would like to thank our advisor Marika. She was helpful beyond expectations from the first moment we started planning until the finish.

Canada, we loved it !!
