Madison Campground is one of the most popular campgrounds in Yellowstone National Park.
Nearby, the Gibbon and Firehole rivers join to form the Madison, all of which are popular fly fishing and wildlife observation destinations.
The campground is about 22 km from West Yellowstone and 26 km from Old Faithful, one of the biggest geysers in the world.

NOTE: As the campground is within a National Park, a National Park entry fee is required. If your trip is starting here, consider purchasing an Interagency Annual Pass for $80. This pass allows up to four adults (aged 16 and over) in a single vehicle to enter an unlimited number of American National Parks for a period of 12 months. Children under 16 are admitted free of charge.
