DAY 1 - Vancouver
Welcome to Vancouver, Canada's most beautiful metropolis, ranked as one of the best cities in the world in which to live.
Spend some time exploring the city's main attractions such as Stanley Park and Gastown, and do some shopping on Robson Street and Broadway Avenue.
This morning you get up early and take a taxi to the train station, where you board the Rocky Mountaineer for a scenic train ride to Kamloops.
The Rocky Mountaineer provides a unique opportunity to enjoy picture postcard vistas that would otherwise be inaccessible. In addition to the stunning scenery, you will have many chances to see wildlife: moose, elk, bighorn sheep, black bear, eagles, osprey and more.
You reach Kamloops at the end of the day. A shuttle is waiting to drive you to tonight's accommodation.
Your rail adventure continues through the snow-covered peaks of the majestic Rockies, including Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies at a height of 3954 metres.
The scenery is simply breathtaking! The train tracks pass close to the 91 metre high Pyramid Creek Falls, where the train will slow down to allow you to appreciate the magnificent view.
Your spectacular train ride ends in Jasper at the end of the afternoon, where you pick up your rental car for the rest of the trip.
DAY 4 - Jasper
You have an entire day to spend in Jasper National Park, a UNESCO world heritage site.
Visit the park's most beautiful attractions, including the picturesque Maligne Lake and Spirit Island, the most photographed island in the world.
Take a hike along the spectacular trails of Maligne Canyon and Mount Edith Cavell.
For families with children or visitors looking for a less strenuous activity, the Peyto Lake trail offers an easy 15-minute walk to spectacular vistas.
Your route continues in the direction of Banff. Be sure to stop along the way at Lake Louise: this magnificent glacial lake is known as the "Jewel of Canada", and for good reason.
The spectacular scenery and shimmering blue green waters of Lake Louise will leave you speechless; it's easy to see why this is one of the most famous sights in the Canadian Rockies.
At the end of the day you reach Banff, a charming mountain town at an elevation of 1380 metres, nestled in a superb alpine setting.
