FRIDAY

Croisière Îles de la Madeleine - Départ de Montréal

  • Boarding of the CTMA Vacancier.
  • Check-in at reception: receive your cabin keys, boarding pass.
  • Get to know the ship: welcome cocktail and presentation of the chip's crew, tour of the outer decks and Salon Bar, etc.
  • Information on the cruise itinerary, safety measures and life vest demonstration in the Salon Bar, 15 minutes prior to departure.
  • Departure from the Port of Montreal: 3:00 p.m. Atlantic Time.
  • Around 8:00 p.m.: sail past Trois-Rivières and the Laviolette bridge, change of pilots.
  • Around midnight: sail past Quebec City. Admire the night lights of the city!

 


SATURDAY

 

Croisiere Iles de la Madeleine

 

  • Around 6:30 a.m.: sail past Tadoussac, near the whale gathering area, and disembarkation of pilots near Escoumins.
  • Around 2:00 p.m., observe the wind turbines of Cap-Chat.
  • Enjoy views of the rugged hills of Sainte-Anne-des-Monts, the Chic-Choc Mountains, the cliffs in Forillon National Park and Gaspé Bay.

 


SUNDAY

  • Arrival at the Cap-aux-Meules port in the afternoon.
  • Reception and information session with the Autobus Les Sillons team.
  • Visit of La Fromagerie Au Pied de Vent cheese-making workshop in Pointe Basse.
  • Lunch at Accents Resto Bistro.
  • Tour of À l'Abri de la Tempête microbrewery with beer tasting.
  • Visit of La Belle Anse
  • Free time at Dune du Nord beach.
  • Dinner at Réfectoire du Vieux Couvent.
  • Return to the ship for a night in your cabin.

 


MONDAY

  • Breakfast on the ship.
  • Visit of Le Fumoir d'Antan smokehouse economuseum.
  • Scenic drive: chemin des Montants.
  • Free time on Dune du Sud beach.
  • Seal and lobster pâté tasting at Auberge La Salicorne.
  • Lunch at Auberge La Salicorne.
  • Visit of the Seal Interpretation Center and the Grande-Entrée port.
  • Visit and tasting at Le Barbocheux, winemaker and traditional bagosse artisan.
  • Dinner at Restaurant La Table des Roy.
  • Return to the ship for a night in your cabin.

 


TUESDAY

  • Breakfast on the ship.
  • Tasting of local products at Gourmande de Nature workshop/boutique.
  • Free time at La Côte (main attractions: Le Flâneur tea room, fishing harbour, boutiques).
  • Lunch at Le Vent du Large.
  • Free time at La Grave historic site.
  • Visit of the Les Artisans du Sable economuseum.
  • Visit of the Site d'Autrefois cultural site.
  • Scenic drive: Bassin, L'Étangs des caps.
  • Dinner on board ship.

 


WEDNESDAY

 

Roché Percé - Percé

 

  • Sail between Bonaventure Island and Rocher Percé.
  • Arrival in Gaspé around 8:00 a.m.; free time to explore the area. (Guided discovery tours of Gaspésie can be purchased on board on Tuesday evening).
  • Departure at 2:00 p.m.; you must be on board at 1:00 p.m..
  • The ship sails back into the river, following the magnificent coastline of the Gaspé Peninsula.

 


THURSDAY

 

Brochette de Pétoncles et de Homard

 

  • The ship crosses the St. Lawrence to the north shore.
  • Sail past Tadoussac and the whale gathering area.
  • Admire the region of Charlevoix, Côte-de-Beaupré, Île d’Orléans and the Montmorency falls.
  • 1:00 p.m.: arrival in Quebec City; stopover to enjoy the charms of the Old Capital. (Guided discovery tours of Quebec City can be purchased on board on Wednesday evening).
  • Around 6:30 p.m., departure from Quebec City. You must be on board one hour prior to departure, i.e. 5:30 p.m. Atlantic Time.
  • Luggage: All passengers are asked to leave their luggage outside their cabin.

 


FRIDAY

 

Croisiere Iles de la Madeleine - Navire

 

  • Around 6:00 a.m.: Arrival at the Port of Montreal.
  • Around 6:30 a.m.: Passengers disembark. Go to the gangway on Deck 6 with your boarding pass in hand. For your security, a shuttle service transports you to the terminal, where you collect your luggage.

  • Cruise of 8 days and 7 nights on board the CTMA Vacancier between Montreal, Quebec City, Gaspésie and the Magdalen Islands.
  • All services available on board the CTMA Vacancier: restaurant, dining room, movie theater, exercice centre, children's play area, tour office, business centre, boutique and several bars and lounges.
  • 7 nights' accommodation on board the CTMA Vacancier.
  • Full board including 5 meals in Magdalen Islands restaurants (3 lunches and 2 dinners, includes transportation and tips).
  • All on-board meals while sailing (tipping is at your discretion).

  • 3 days of guided tours of Magdalen Islands producers and artisans with tasting of local specialties.

Displays outside the Tour Office provide information on the on-board entertainment and activities of the day, the towns and villages to watch out for, and a several-day weather forecast. The progress of the CTMA Vacancier can be followed on a video screen.
 

USEFUL INFORMATION FOR YOUR COMFORT

Internet ($)
The ship now offers Internet service. Work stations with Internet access are available in the lounge, and a Wi-Fi network is also available at several locations on the ship. Note that Internet service is payable on board.

Electricity
The electrical outlets in your cabin provide a weaker AC current than you are used to. Please use a battery-powered alarm clock, or ask for wakeup service.

Iron / ironing board
Can be borrowed at the reception desk.

Portholes
Only the portholes in cabins numbered 600 and over can be opened. Ask your cabin attendant for assistance.

Hair dryer
Can be borrowed at the reception desk.

Wakeup service
Wakeup service is available. Ask at the reception desk.

Television
You will find televisions in the Salon Bar, the lounge, the exercise room and the restaurant.
