DAY 1 - Montreal
Welcome to the second-largest French-speaking city in the world, after Paris.
We wish you a great family vacation in the land of lakes and rivers!
This morning, you take the scenic route to the Mauricie region.
Covering an area of 536 km², Mauricie National Park gives off an air of serenity in keeping with its gently undulating terrain. On this wide plateau with its hills and valleys and network of lakes and rivers, only the changing seasons mark the passage of time.
At the end of the day, you head for Seigneurie du Triton. This outfitter can only be reached by water, which protects its access and allows it to preserve its unspoiled nature.
You can feel the stress of daily life melting away, to be replaced by the peace and serenity of the great outdoors.
DAY 3 - Mauricie
FREE on-site family activities
Day: Hiking and nature interpretation, ride in a canoe or rabaska canoe, visit trout spawning grounds, visit the Triton train station, swimming, pedalo (paddle boat), sea kayak, mountain biking,...
Night: Observe beavers in their natural habitat, campfire with stories and legends, ride on the water by torchlight, slideshow of Quebec wildlife, the occasional musician, take a walk by torchlight...
Your adventure continues in the direction of Lac St-Jean, a veritable inland sea.
You will be following a magnificent route along the historic St-Maurice River, used in the olden days by raftsmen for transporting logs.
Today you have the chance to visit an unusual and fascinating zoo where the animals roam free and the human visitors are caged!
At the St-Félicien Wild Zoo, you can observe dozens of wildlife species in an exceptional natural setting.
Your next destination is the spectacular Saguenay Fjord.
You take the peaceful scenic route along the St. Marguerite River. Make a stop along the way at the Baie Sainte Marguerite sector of Saguenay National Park to walk along the banks of the fjord! It is not uncommon to see beluga whales in the bay.
This majestic but little-known natural wonder will take your breath away and leave you with unforgettable memories. You will discover the vastness of time and space in this place where the colossal forces of nature conspired to create a fjord.
DAY 6 - Tadoussac
Spend an enjoyable day in Tadoussac, the oldest village in Canada and listed as one of the 50 most beautiful bays in the world.
But above all, Tadoussac is one of the best internationally renowned whale-watching sites in the world. You won't want to leave the area without going on a whale-watching safari!
Today you head for the beautiful and historic Quebec City, the cradle of French culture in the Americas.
Perched on the cliffs of Cap Diamant and overlooking the St. Lawrence River, Quebec is proud to be a living museum and the only fortified city in North America.
Once you reach Quebec City, take the time to explore the city and its many historic sites. The entire old town is a UNESCO world heritage site.
