Tunnel Mountain Campground is the largest in the Banff area and is located just 2.4 km from the town of Banff.
- Showers and washrooms with hot and cold running water and flush toilets

A good start
Open campsite
Very open campsite as you park in lines along a road. Only had electric and water. As for the Amenities they were clean and tidy, some of the toilets weren’t working as seem not to get fixed quickly. Only real downside was you could hear the train through the night and early morning also no fire pit in campsite 2
Lowlight of our trip
The tarmac, grid layout, gives the impression of parking next to the side of a road and when busy (as it was when we visited in July) resembled a traffic jam). Our pitch (B22) being under a telegraph pole didn’t add to the experience. Bus service from inside the site to downtown (free one-way) was a redeeming feature as were the clean showers.
