Gaspesie road trip
Lovely vacation, beautiful scenery, a few hiccups along the way.
Our experience with Authentik went rather well. Our travel agent did a really good job in finding us places to stay during our trip, despite the fact that we booked only a few weeks before leaving. She also went ahead and fit the trip to work with our circumstances of having a young child with us (limiting long travels per day, lots of outdoor activities, more stops along the way). It was a pretty good experience. The only issue I had with Authentik's service was that we were given the impression when we were given our quote, that it was a pre-booked event. Since we took about a week to look it over and make sure everything was good with our timings, we were informed that many of the options in our quote were no longer available, which caused us to miss out on some nice accommodations and activities. It would have been nice to have been pre-booked or at least informed that the choices suggested to us were not concrete until we booked. [...]
The sights and activities were great, the hotels hot and miss.
Overall we enjoyed the trip. Highlights were the Bonaventure island cruise and hiking, the Gaspésie National Park and whale watching. Hotels were a mix. 2 that stood out for quality were the Gîte Mt Albert and le Germain in Baie St. Paul. Domaine Valga was also a hit, despite the shared bathrooms. Some others we would prefer to forget: the first one on the st Lawrence river, the farm in Sacre Coeur. Not sure why we were placed there and had to drive 40km back to Escoumins for whale watching, when it would have been nicer to stay at a hotel in Tadoussac and do whale watching from there. All in all I would give the trip a solid B. Great sights balanced by ups and downs on the hotels. [...]
Relaxing and sunny tour of Quebec (Gaspesie)
We've just come back from our tour in Quebec (Gaspesie): it's been a really nice experience.
Besides the beauty of nature and the welcoming attitude of all people we met, we'd like to highlight the perfect organisation by Josée, from Authentik Canada. Everything just worked perfectly and to our full satisfaction!
What we liked best: the reasonably slow pace of the tour.
What we liked least: the drive back from Quebec to Montreal. If we were to redo it we would take the flight back from Quebec City.

A beautiful road trip
(Translated by Google) Very beautiful landscapes and very beautiful hikes
Overall very satisfying and discovery-filled trip
(Translated by Google) The most pleasant accommodation was at the Manoir des Hortensia with attentive hosts and a high-end gite. The hotels were overall very satisfactory, however with room for improvement in Ste Anne des Monts (room near the kitchen hence the smells, very small bathroom) but the house is old and the same at the Auberge des Iles du Bic in Rimouski which is very old and typical but whose bathroom and room accessibility could be improved. The location of the hotels in Montreal and Quebec City made it very easy to visit these cities.
The distances are significant but the rental car was comfortable and spacious and Avis was very accommodating (second driver outside of spouse free). Some activities were closed in the parks but we easily found replacements.
Finally, we particularly liked (but the agency has nothing to do with it!) the courtesy and kindness of the Quebec Canadians and of course the sumptuous landscapes, not to be missed is a visit to Bonaventure Island (even though for us the weather was not ideal for taking pictures). As for the wild animals (moose, caribou, whales...), we were left wanting more, the SEPAQ wardens explained to us that it was a bit "marketing"... given the number of people on the trails, we weren't too surprised that the animals avoided us and we understand them given the vastness they can enjoy.
Overall, after this second trip with Authentik Canada we were satisfied a second time.

Gaspésie
(Translated by Google) 2650 km/ 15 nights and 10 different hotels, very beautiful tour: But:
We split the first night which was supposed to take us from Montreal to Rivière-du-Loup because it was too far for the first day and there were many things to see, better advice would have been welcome...
Hotels of variable comfort despite the substantial price of this tour.
No advice regarding a possible stop at Mount Albert.

Magnificent trip and perfectly organized itinerary.
(Translated by Google) We very much appreciated the choice of hotels (often typical inns), the chosen stops, and the planned excursions.
Our contact with you (Véronique) was always responsive to our questions.
Authentic Canada allowed us to discover this magnificent country, in excellent conditions, relieved of the practical organization.
All perfect
(Translated by Google) It was a great trip… full of discoveries, welcoming country, everything perfect. The only small downside is the ferry that we should have taken at 8am and we would have had to get up at 5am, not great for a holiday. So we changed this part at the last minute, otherwise everything was perfect.
Excellent stay!!
(Translated by Google) Authentik Canada's teams are great, super available, and respond quickly and effectively to our needs. The accommodations were all spotless, too bad the weather wasn't always cooperative to fully enjoy the views that some offered!! The coupon system is simple and even if you can't do an activity, you are reimbursed quickly.
A road trip in Gaspésie beyond our expectations.
(Translated by Google) The offered accommodations have always been top-notch, the activities listed in the description were helpful for us to organize ourselves, I would like to emphasize three must-do activities in my opinion:
- the visit of the Onondaga submarine at Pointe-au-Père
- the visit of the historical site of the Paspébiac fishing bank, for the quality of its entertainment
- the visit of Bonaventure Island from Percé with the hike to the Northern Gannet colony, extraordinary! Plan for the entire day on the island.

Good, but could do better.
(Translated by Google) Hello
We are generally satisfied with the trip apart from these few points.
The Labelle Suites: Has lost its prestige, it was of better quality 9 years ago. In addition, it is now in a poverty-stricken area where begging is on every street corner.
Auberge des îles du Bic: Beautiful residence, good quality homemade breakfast. Alas, it's difficult to sleep in rooms where everything creaks: our bed, the floor, the neighbors' bed. The partitions are so thin that you can follow the neighbors' conversations, not to mention the bathrooms that wake you up at all hours.
Auberge la seigneurie des Monts: Closed until 3:30 p.m., the unfriendly owner leaves us in front of the door for 2 hours because it's not opening time... He tells us that he will ask you to reimburse us for the two breakfasts because we are leaving at six in the morning to be on time for the ferry.
Ferry: Why choose the longest river crossing and the furthest hotel?
Tadoussac: Why not choose a hotel in Tadoussac directly? We would have saved a pointless night at the Auberge de la Rose Pierre.
Montmorency Falls: Scheduled for September 11th, we found it more sensible to do the visit during our trip on September 10th before the Jardin Hotel. Since we pass in front of it, why make us come back the next day, when a day is not too much to visit Quebec?
Return to the Labelle Suites, which nevertheless has the advantage of being close to public transport.
In summary, Canada remains a very beautiful destination, despite the fact that we have observed greater poverty in the big cities, which we are told is due to housing prices...
Thanks to the whole team.

Magnificent journey, extraordinary
(Translated by Google) Great trip: for us, it was our first journey mainly to explore Gaspésie. Our specialist, Véronique, was able to consider our desires and advise us because the region is so vast.
We did our road trip in two and a half weeks: we certainly drove a lot but didn't feel the kilometers with our 7 and 10 year old children. We were in awe and filled with memories!
A piece of advice, take at least 3 weeks to tour Gaspésie as there is so much to see and do. We would have gladly taken a few more days at some of our stops :)

Trip and perfect organization
(Translated by Google) Very beautiful trip
A beautiful journey and magnificent sites
Lovely national parks
Favorites:
Gaspésie Park
Bonaventure Island
Pot à l'Eau-de-Vie Lighthouse
Bike ride on Île d’Orléans
Negative points: hotels in Montreal and Quebec City
Great trip but disappointed by Authentik Canada
(Translated by Google) Nice trip obviously if we talk about Quebec! However, dissatisfied with the organization of some missed details or the level of certain service providers not at all up to par or poorly managed in our opinion by Authentik Canada. Authentik Canada does not take the time to call them back or call you back to find solutions when you are on site or during the trip preparation. It is clear that they do not put themselves in your shoes, they sell you what is available from a partner list and after you have paid, you are on your own. Therefore, a very disappointing experience with Authentik Canada, not to mention the prices, which could imply a good service, despite some negative services from certain partners. There is no transparency on the accommodation quotes, no reflection period like in April ("too late for the promotion" despite contacts and quotes during the period), no commercial counterpart discussion or offer proposed by Authentik. No interest, no support! Thank you very much! We had made this choice to avoid managing and to treat ourselves to the trip of our dreams, but we did not receive the desired support from Authentik Canada, whether in April 24 preparation or in August 24: few preparation tips (everything is available on the website or will be in the Roadbook that you have, you find the information yourself, no help to find accommodations in Acadia on August 15, which was the basis of our travel request indicated from the preparation in April, despite the intervention of a so-called "Authentik Canada manager" who confirmed leaving us in a jam, despite accommodations available in the area that we had to find ourselves instead of being managed by Authentik Canada. There we were at the maximum dissatisfaction. Services taken at the order but canceled because not available without explanations and without a proposal for upgrading the Airport/hotel transfer ($110 asked instead of a $50 taxi but they asked me $110 extra, meaning $220 to find a solution for a transfer ultimately identical to a Taxi?). Reservations badly made or half made as at the C3 hotel in Quebec for example who had not received the parking reservation (and it was not the first time according to the hotel) that we reported but without calling back the hotel to find us a solution (we had to find more expensive parking farther ourselves). Another example, the Thrifty rental car which wanted to charge us for the 2nd driver while Authentik Canada normally includes the spouse! Services reserved but poorly planned on the route like CIMEAVANTURE 140Kms from the hotel in PERCE along our route but from the next hotel one day later that we had to reshuffle ourselves by dealing with CIMEAVANTURE directly to avoid a round trip to the hotel in PERCE of 280 kms to pass by the next day. The first stage in Montreal of ½ day upon arrival had no interest (because too short) with the car rental taken in the city 2 kms away on foot with suitcases from the Best Western hotel. It would have been better to start directly in Quebec with the car taken at the airport. Partner services cancellations before and during the stay which I asked Alyssa to check and inform us to organize but that did not intervene with the providers (Due to the storm in Canada in August) like the ferry at GODBOUT canceled without being informed that we had to reschedule ourselves with the provider in Baie Commeau. What is the point of taking a travel agency to tell us later that it’s canceled, or not say anything and leave the customers to manage themselves? Is there really any interest or is it called another commercial practice? The polite responses are always the same but without proposing anything, thank you but that does not help. We end up stopping asking for assistance and managing our trip ourselves, regretting the choice of Authentik Canada and the price paid. [...]
Beautiful adventure in Gaspésie
(Translated by Google) We are really happy with our experience with Authentik. Our itinerary matched our needs and desires, Caroline listened to us and adapted the trip well to our needs. We had a variety of accommodations at our request and it was perfect. We had a big crush on the birdhouse at Pointe-aux-Outardes, it's a magnificent place with welcoming and passionate people. We also really liked the Hotel Mirage in Percé with a splendid view. We are new to camping and we enjoyed our experience in the Sepaq ready-to-camp tents. Small downside however in the Gaspésie park. We were in a chalet at Lake Cascapédia. It's very rustic and it rained a lot that day which didn't help. But above all, the chalet was not clean and the staff not very welcoming. Regarding the activities, everything went very smoothly. We particularly enjoyed our experience with Croisières Escoumins.

Unforgettable 17-day road trip, Quebec and Gaspé Peninsula grand tour
(Translated by Google) Well-constructed trip perfectly meeting our expectations.
No problems when picking up or returning the vehicle, with a pleasant welcome.
We appreciated the different accommodations, both in hotels with two queen-size beds each time (except in Quebec City, but the Hotel C3 had magnificent rooms, all remarkably decorated) and in the cottages or the inn where we received a warm, personalized welcome.
We enjoyed exceptionally beautiful and even hot weather during these 17 days, which allowed us to make the most of the landscapes and activities on the program. An enchantment often exceeding what we expected!! Big favorites were Old Quebec, the Museum of Civilization, the Huron site of Wendake, the sunsets over the St. Lawrence River, Kamouraska, Forillon National Park and Bic National Park (our favorite with encounters with white-tailed deer, a fox, and seals!), Paspébiac, Bonaventure Island and the northern gannets, the general store of Anse à Beaufils... We punctuated our stages with many stops, two of which were a little longer. Despite the condition of the road on certain sections, we loved traveling along Highway 132, as the landscapes are magnificent and varied.
On the gastronomic side, very nice discoveries (with the exception of poutine!): the microbreweries, the fish (two addresses not to be missed: in Carleton: "Marin d'eau douce" with delicate gastronomic cuisine and in Quebec City in the Museum of Fine Arts district "Le bar à vins Petits creux" with succulent Corsican platters) and soft-serve ice cream.
Authentik Canada's roadbook was greatly appreciated, sometimes supplemented by other tourist guides.
A big thank you to Susyane for her help in developing this trip, her always quick and relevant answers, her kindness during our phone calls (punctual to the minute!).

Very nice trip
(Translated by Google) We particularly liked the different sites and the accommodations were good.
It would be nicer to have breakfast included with each accommodation.
Picking up the rental car at the airport is a big hassle. An endless queue of more than 2 hours and once the formalities were done we waited another 30 minutes because no cars were available. 4 years ago we had a rental car outside the airport 5 minutes by bus and we didn't have to wait, it was much better even though it wasn't on site. After a long flight and the significant time difference it was a little complicated to manage this very long wait.
Otherwise superb trip, no problem with the accommodation, everything was perfect, thank you for the organization.

Alright
(Translated by Google) the Montreal-Quebec stage is not justified. The best would have been to start the trip in Quebec and end in Quebec
A very beautiful trip
(Translated by Google) First of all I would like to thank authentick canada and especially Tanya for the professionalism and kindness she offered us. We were 4 travelers and all are of the same opinion. Everything was perfect. The circuit, the accommodation, the car, and the roadbook which was extremely useful to us. Without forgetting the kindness of Quebecers. So I will not hesitate to call on this agency if I plan another trip. [...]
An unforgettable trip to Gaspésie
(Translated by Google) For our first roadtrip, I called on AUTHENTIK, already to reassure myself and let them manage all the reservations for our stay. It was a very positive experience but still required a lot of personal preparation. AUTHENTIK has the merit of always being present if we have any questions before leaving or a problem on site and that is very reassuring. The choices of accommodation and the activities offered are all very good and there is plenty to choose from: all you have to do is make your choice.
The same goes for car rental, and I haven't found it cheaper elsewhere with identical services, so very competitive.
As for the beautiful creation of the roadbook, it is still a little expensive (but essential for those who cannot print); I tried and I hoped to find some additional documents there like the brochures of the maps of the cities of Montreal and Quebec for example...it's a shame, however it has the merit of making a beautiful travel souvenir.

A beautiful trip.
(Translated by Google) Our trip to Gaspesie went well, with no unpleasant surprises and a always pleasant welcome. We enjoyed the Riotel de Perce and the mini-cruise to Bonaventure Island. The inn under the trees in Gaspe is full of charm but you have to go down and bring your suitcases up because the hotel is on floors. At the Auberge de la Pointe the bed for 2 people was not wide enough.
In summary, we made some great discoveries and a great trip.

very nice discovery of Gaspésie
(Translated by Google) a very beautiful region of Canada with lots of forests, water with the St Laurent, the rivers and the bay of heats; the colorful houses and their mowed lawns along the roads, villages like Kamouraska, hikes in the parks of Gaspésie and Forillon, the superb view from Percé, the cruise to and on the island of Bonaventure, Tadoussac and the whale watching cruise, Sainte Anne de Beaupré, Quebec...
we enjoyed this stay

a wonderful trip
(Translated by Google) A trip that will remain etched in our memories. The choice of course by Authentik Canada delighted us. The hotels offered were each time close to interesting places and very satisfactory.
The only downside is the number of kilometers but that was expected.

Fanny was able to respond quickly to my questions and reacted quickly in the event of an unforeseen event.

Perfect organization, stay that exceeded our expectations.
(Translated by Google) We are delighted with our trip. It even exceeded our expectations, that is to say. And we did well to persevere, after 2 cancellations in 2020 and 2021!
Everything was great and well organized. The driving time by car was suitable, with often little road one day, more the next day, and that was fine with us. It was also a good idea to sometimes stay 2 nights in the same place, so as not to always be packing and unpacking.
The experience on the lighthouse (from the Pot à l'Eau-de-Vie) was extraordinary, as was the sea kayaking at sunset (at Cap-aux-Os, with sightings of multiple seals in the immediate vicinity of the boat), the black bear safari (at the Domaine le Pic-Bois), the Saint-Antoine inn (labeled Relais & Châteaux) in Quebec and the hike on Mont Jacques-Cartier in the Gaspésie park (40 km of car on a track in the middle of forests and...More
In terms of accommodation, we did not like the room at the Valga estate (an entire chalet would perhaps have been preferable, but the activities on the site are top-notch (acrobranch and kayaking on the lake)) and the 5-star Condo Ferme.
Thanks to Véronique, our coordinator, for having intervened very quickly during the only hitch of our 18 days of travel (a reservation at the fisherman's house in Percé which seemed not to have been duly noted).
In the end we were able to see bears, caribou, moose, deer/deer, foxes, seals, porcupines, all in the wild, at the bend of a trail or a road.

SUPERB TRIP
(Translated by Google) Despite a chaotic start to the trip with the pick-up of the car which was not the one we had rented, it was a very nice trip, much anticipated because we were to do it in August 2020! We did a lot of kilometers but the trip was balanced in terms of driving day and rest day. Not to be missed: Gaspésie, whale watching in a zodiac, bear watching, the Saguenay Fjord and Quebec City. Lots of steps, animal watching: short nature trip. Thanks to Authentik Canada, welcoming Quebecers. [...]

Trip perfectly meeting our expectations in relation to the quote
(Translated by Google) Contacts with Maxim made it possible to establish a program and an estimate which proved to meet our expectations.
the circuit allowed us to discover this part of Canada that we did not know. Only a crossing further east would have avoided a round trip to Trois Pistoles, but we didn't think of that during our discussions.
Well done!

Gaspésie by electric car is possible
(Translated by Google) We really loved this trip to Quebec. An exceptional nature and this majestic Saint Laurent but also the sympathy of Quebecers.
Our favorite stopovers, without hesitation, are Domaine Valga in the middle of the forest and the warm welcome of Eric and his family: beautiful evenings at the brazier!
the Natakam Condos on the banks of the river with parades of porpoises and rorquals a few tens of meters away.
Percé and Bonaventure Island with its Northern Gannet colony
Forillon Park and its walks
Without forgetting the cities of Quebec and Montreal
What happiness
A little word also for our correspondent Marie Michele, for her wise advice during the trip, quick answers and above all her sympathy

Excellent
(Translated by Google) Busy program, but recommended for those who want a full experience.
On arrival at the airport, it would be useful to specify the means of reaching the hotel in Montreal (Taxi, shuttle, etc.)

Basically well organized trip apart from two hotels.
(Translated by Google) We were very satisfied with the proposed program. It is well balanced. The documentation (roadbook) is a very good working tool. The choices of activities are numerous and excellent. On the other hand, the AVIS rental company is not correct. She uses all means to extort supplements. It's unpleasant. As for the hotels, two are not recommendable. Hotel le Roberval, our rooms were not reserved. After discussion with Authentik Canada and the hotel, we inherited huge, uncomfortable rooms. The second hotel not to recommend is the Auberge des 21. Supposedly, we were entitled to a breakfast. We received them the day before in a bag with products (see photo) not worthy of a breakfast. We had to take it to our room. No coffee in the room. Deplorable reception. On the other hand , the Domaine Valga is the friendliest hotel . What a welcome, what kindness, excellent food.
Another problem encountered is finding open restaurants. Many were closed.
In summary, very good trip, good service from Authentic Canada but accommodation to improve in terms of reception or services.

perfect trip but very tiring
(Translated by Google) three remarks:
Why do the Canadian authorities want to discourage people with no computer skills from traveling to Canada?
When we arrived in Canada, you chose a hotel in the center of Montreal: it took us 3 hours to get there because of work in the area, we were too tired to go eat or visit Montreal. The next day we took 2 hours to leave Montreal. It would have been better to choose a hotel near the airport or outside Montreal.
September 15, route Parc de la Gaspésie Tadoussac: the Auberge de la Seigneurie des monts in Saint-Anne-des monts is perfect and the host of the most charming and efficient; however, we had to get up at 5 am to be able to reach the Ferry pier 30 minutes before the departure of the latter, one night in the Inn would have been enough and one night in a hotel in Matane would have been preferable.
Apart from that all the hotels, lodges and other accommodations were perfect.
