Unforgettable road trip!
We had a fantastic time on our road trip from Calgary to Vancouver! Planning our trip was made easy through Authentik and we felt confident throughout the booking process. Having a road trip specialist to answer any queries was something we wouldn’t have benefited from if going it alone!
The camp sites we stayed at were all pretty good and picking up the RV went very smoothly with Fraserway - the staff at both sites were very friendly and helpful.
We managed to fit in a good range of activities that made the most of each place we stayed in - this included horse riding, canoeing, mountain climbing, gondola’s etc. We did a lot of research! We booked all activities independently apart from the shuttle bus to Moraine Lake/Lake Louise - would recommend.
As part of our trip, we were due to stay in Jasper for 3 nights, however we weren’t aware of the extent of the damage from last years wildfires - it was really shocking to see. We didn’t feel as though there was enough to see and do for that amount of time so we decided to find an alternative campsite outside of the affected area after the first night. I think it would have been beneficial for us to know ahead of time how badly affected it had been as we probably would have spent longer in Banff or Whistler. This was the only slightly disappointing part of the trip, having said that I’m glad that we did get to spend a little time in Jasper and support the local shops/restaurants etc.
It was truly the trip of a lifetime - the highlights for us were Banff and Whistler. We stayed 3 nights in Banff and 2 in Whistler but could have happily spent at least an extra night in both and found plenty more to do. We weren’t prepared for how spectacular the scenery was - it was breathtaking. I would highly recommend visiting Canada and booking through Authentik! I hope I get chance to make a return trip some day!
