A good trip with some avoidable problems.
Much of the trip was quite good. I have a few items I think need to be noted.
1. Aux Portes du Soliel in Saint Paul was clean and the people were nice. However, the room was ultra small and opened directly to the outside. As a single woman, I felt vulnerable with that access to my room. My agent knew I was traveling alone and an older female. She should have suggested other accommodations. She also knew I did not need the cheapest possible accommodations. I had upgraded several other places.
2. Quebec City should have been my last stop. I could have returned the car and flown from there. I would have saved car rental and parking fees. There was no point in driving to Montreal. It was a long a miserable drive and I had already driven all of those roads. My itinerary said it was a two hour drive. It was almost 4 hours. This was not traffic. It took me more than three hours to get to the outskirts of Montreal and I drove over the speed limit the entire time. I had allowed extra time, but I would have missed my plane if I had allowed 3 hours based on your 2 hour information. The car drop off was noted as off site, but no location or address was given. I had to go into the rental car part of the airport to get directions. It also cost me extra time when I was already late. I feel this was very bad advice. It was a waste of energy and money to return to Montreal and very stressful. There was no reason to make this drive.
If you pretend to be a travel agency, you need to consider individual needs and be more creative.
3. I enjoyed most of my trip, and most of the hotels were great. I did not like my room at Auberge de Batteurs - also for location reasons. They changed it for a small fee and I had a great room with a great view.

All our clients’ feed back is very important to us and has great value to the company. Thank you for sharing your opinions about the service you received throughout your trip.
We are sincerely sorry for the inconveniences that you had to endure, especially the drive back to Montreal. We usually never suggest flying out of Quebec unless it is specifically requested, as most of our clients prefer the round trip to Montreal. We do understand that this would have suited you better in that situation.
We hope that you still had a good time in Quebec and that you hold precious memories.
