How much does a trip to Canada cost in 2022?

According to my calculations, the average cost is between €2,144 and €2,585 per person, depending on the type of trip and the season.

The prices are shown as an indication only (the simulation was done in early February) and are based on 2 people. Remember to divide certain expenses such as car rental by the number of travellers.

Obviously, the price of a trip to Canada will vary depending on the departure date and the range of activities and meals consumed, but this should give you a good idea.

For this example, I used our road trip "Family Vacation in Canada", a 15-day itinerary that explores the La Mauricie, Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean and Charlevoix regions as well as charming Quebec City.

For this calculation, I used the 15-day road trip "Canada by Motorhome", whose itinerary is similar to the one above.

For the Montreal RV rental, I chose the fully-equipped SVC model for 2 adults and 2 children.

The RV rental price can vary considerably depending on what time of year you make your booking.

If I had done the same simulation last fall, the rental prices would have been a few hundred euros lower, which makes a significant difference to the price of your trip to Canada.

How much is a night in a hotel in Canada compared to Europe?

Generally speaking, accommodation prices are higher in Canada than in France.

To ensure availability and choice, it is best to book in advance if you will be travelling in July-August, or during public holidays such as St-Jean Baptiste (June 24), Canada Day (July 1) or Labour Day, which is the first Monday in September.

This will be a significant part of your budget for your trip to Canada.

How much is a meal in a restaurant in Canada compared to Europe?

The price of your trip to Canada can also vary considerably depending on where you eat.

Plan on a large meal budget if you choose a car + hotel package as you will have to eat out very often.
