Introduction: Do you need a 5-star hotel when there are 5 billion stars in the sky? This beautiful quote from Richard Desjardins defines me well as a traveler. I prefer immersing myself in the midst of vast wilderness rather than staying in luxury hotels. I love what’s real and authentic ;-) I love my corner of the country which I have traveled from one ocean to the other. I love Canada so much that in 2002, I decided to establish Authentik to showcase this natural jewel to travelers from all four corners of the world.

A tip for your trip here Especially if you're coming from Europe, I advise taking the plane. It's quite long by boat :-) Seriously, take your iPod and make a "playlist" with Cowboys Fringants, Paul Piché, Kevin Parent, La Bottine Souriante, Vincent Vallières, etc. Don't forget Richard Desjardins.
What is my favorite season in Canada? I love Canada because we fully experience all four seasons. So much so that in the summer, I look forward to fall for the colors and the cool air. And in the fall, I can't wait for winter to enjoy winter sports. And when we are in winter, I look forward to spring to see nature reborn, once again. And in spring, guess which season I look forward to... Funny but reading back, I tell myself that I really need to learn to live in the present moment.
What souvenir to bring back from your trip here? Maple syrup of course to make yourself pancakes when you return home. You will think of us with every bite.
Don't forget to pack in your luggage: If I say "go take a walk", "it's cheesy", or "it costs an arm and a leg" and you understand none of it, buy yourself a Franco-Quebecois dictionary before leaving.
What is my dream trip? I dream of setting sail for a few months with my small family from island to island in the Caribbean. But first, I have to convince my partner :-(
