Experience the most authentic Canadian tradition, the famous sugar shack.

Here you will enjoy a typical meal consisting of pea soup, omelette, crisp fried pork rind, meat pie, hash browns, baked beans, preserves, ham, maple taffy on the snow (even in summer!), pancakes with maple sugar...in an all-you-can-eat formula!

A real sugaring-off feast!

Be sure to pay a visit to the on-site boutique, where you can purchase typical souvenirs and gift items to bring home with you...

IMPORTANT: By definition, a sugar shack meal is a friendly, lively affair where guests sit around large communal tables.

According to the Quebec tradition, the more people there are, the more festive the atmosphere!

So don't expect to enjoy a quiet intimate lunch...

sugar shack

Unfortunately we were the only 2 English speaking quests that night. The young guide was apologetic but said his boss said he had to work the bar for the french speaking bus tours rather than doing an English tour....so we were excluded from the programs ( didn't even know what was happening) This was the only time in Quebec we felt unwelcome. The food was also average at best.

Food ok, entertainment worth you time.

(Translated by Google) interesting, the meal being good and plentiful, it would have missed a real visit to the maple grove, because everything happens in the 2 cabins at the entrance, while we come specifically for the site. the children enjoyed making the "pull on the ice" lollipops.
