All in all, the service provided from Authentik is great. The road trip was well organized in general. The problem is that as a European without internet not telephone network, "in general" is not enough, because even small mistakes can't be corrected if you can't reach out to anyone.
There were 2 activities that we were not able to attend because of scheduling mistakes (over 100€ gone), and these kind of things are extremely annoying. Also, one of the camping grounds was by far not were it was expected to be - our campsite was chosen for our stop at Thousand Islands, but is was over 130km away from there, and from our boat tour activity which we then did not attend. And these 130km were added to the next daily trip, making it 530km instead of 400km.
If I were to organize a roadtrip via Authentik once more, I would control every single distance they tell me in advance, and every single address to make sure to sort problems out before you get cut off the internet.
On top of that, their new application needs further improvement. The navigation system leads you strictly via the shortest distance - finding yourself back in the middle of Queen-Street in Toronto with an 8.5m RV, instead of taking the longer but much quicker highway around, is not very funny.
Nevertheless, we had a great honeymoon and loved the canadian nature - we just feel that it could have been even better and less stressful with an even better organisation.

A small point to be aware of with Cruise Canada: it is essential to notify them in advance when you come to pick up your camper van (you must read the voucher carefully because on the roadbook program it is only stated that pickup will be between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m.). Despite a reservation, the vehicle is not necessarily ready upon your arrival and you therefore risk waiting several hours before being able to leave. This may seem quite surprising for a rental company, but it is visibly how they operate. It is therefore better to confirm the arrival time with them to avoid a long wait and start your trip peacefully.
Regarding our itinerary, we did the circuit: Montreal, Outaouais, Niagara Falls, Thousand Islands, Mauricie, Tadoussac, Quebec City, Oka Park, Montreal. A point to take into account: the distances are significant and the indicated travel time is sometimes underestimated, especially when traveling by camper van. Driving times are necessarily longer than by car, and you also need to plan for stops and any traffic difficulties.
We hadn't necessarily realized it before leaving, but this represents a lot of driving and can make some days quite tiring, leaving little room for activities. If we were to do this trip again, we would remove Ontario to prioritize more time in the regions we enjoyed the most, especially Quebec and Tadoussac.
Regarding the campsites, some are very basic and offer few, if any, services or shops on site. It is therefore important to anticipate shopping and plan for enough food and provisions, as it is not always possible to easily find something to eat nearby. This is a point to consider carefully when preparing the itinerary.
Special mention, our real favorite: Camping du Domaine des Dunes in Tadoussac! A very clean, pleasant and perfectly maintained campsite, with a lovely, warm and caring team. A very nice surprise, and in our opinion, a Google rating that absolutely does not reflect the quality of the campsite and its welcome. We would go back without hesitation!
Conversely, we liked the Valcartier campsite much less, which gave us a more "factory" impression: many pitches, less space and a lot of people, especially with the slides nearby.
In short, an overall very positive travel experience! Despite a few small unforeseen events and sometimes very busy days on the road, we all, parents and children, return with memories full in our heads. A wonderful family adventure that we are happy to have experienced!
Quebec is a magnificent region, with superb landscapes and particularly clean and well-maintained national parks. We also greatly appreciated the welcome of Quebecers, always warm, friendly and benevolent.
