What to do

  • Noteworthy
  • Worth the detour
  • Must see

Prince George, BCThe largest city in Northern British Columbia, Prince George was built around the forest industry, which is still of great importance to the local economy.

In fact, be sure to say hi to the city mascot, Mr PG, a towering human-like statue crafted out of logs that stands on the outskirts of town.

As Prince George is a stopover town, you should plan to arrive at the end of the day.

LHEIDLI T’ENNEH MEMORIAL PARK (FORT GEORGE PARK)

Fort George ParkFamilies who want to stretch their legs after a long day of driving might like to stop off at Lheidli T'enneh Memorial Park (formerly known as Fort George Park), named in honour of the local Lheidli T'enneh Nation.

The park offers a playground, bike paths, water games, toilets and a large pavilion with interpretive panels on the Lheidli T’enneh Nation.
