- The first night on arrival in Montreal is in a completely relocated hotel in the city of Montreal in an industrial area where there is nothing to do :(
After this obligation to sleep one night on the spot; we picked up our Camping CAr from Cite Caravanes with a scheduled pick-up time of 1:00 p.m. ......
We left only at 4:30 p.m. for a trip of 320 km!!!!! planning a stop to buy our food and various products but impossible to stop given the timing...

- the addresses of the accesses to the natural parks are not precise enough because by renting a motorhome with a GPS: impossible to find the right entry point (example like the SAGUENAY park where we had to make a detour of 250 Kms because the campsite was on the other side of the lake!!!

Several points did not meet our expectations:
- price: the Authentik margin is indicated on the site. Regarding RVs, we found the prices particularly high compared to what we found on the market on our side (with equal insurance).
- payment: being 3 families, we wanted to share the costs in 3 accounts. The payment was claimed from a single family and it was not possible for Authentik Canada to indicate the distribution between the families...
- we finally wanted to book an RV through Authentik. Authentik had given us a deadline for the reservation which we respected. Despite this, more VR available... without our having been notified beforehand. We had to find an RV in a hurry on our own. The support did not seem satisfactory to us.
- the dates: we realized when we received the summary of the road trip that the first day was in Montreal, the city where we live! We have modified the roadtrip accordingly following numerous discussions with our advisor. The advice service did not seem up to par.
- Zodiac Tadoussac: the reservation for the whale safari was wrong. There was a baby (3 years old). it was not without its difficulties.
- Quebec: the visit of Quebec planned at the end of our raodtrip was not possible. Indeed, arriving in Quebec is almost impossible without paying the parking fee of $70, or $210 for our 3 RVs. No indication appeared on this subject in the raodtrip, nor any advice on the points to observe in the surroundings of Quebec; this while we had two nights at the campsite to visit Quebec. [...]

The trip went perfectly, everything was well organized, the activities offered very well organized (city of energy, ghost village of Val Jalbert, kayaking, St Felicien zoo, whale excursion in Escoumins, St Anne canyon, etc.)
We were able to take walks in the various National Parks (Mauricie, Fjords du Saguenay, Val Cartier…)

Two long years of waiting to discover Quebec by motorhome, a unique experience that delighted children and parents! We were very confident to go with Authentik, having already traveled with Authentik USA in 2017 to discover the western United States. Our trip to Canada went perfectly, smoothly. The only downside concerns the RV rental company (Canadream): the pick-up to the branch was not provided (driver absent) and we waited 2 hours at the hotel before an adviser from Authentik Canada told us to take a taxi that was paid for by Canadream. Even surprised at the discount (in pm), the driver of their shuttle had already left and we waited 2 hours before Canadream offered us the taxi to the airport. Canadream also billed us for additional mileage despite our package included, 33km is nothing but it's not fun! Apart from these disappointments, the RV was in good condition and posed no problem during the 13 days. In the end, the experience was really great: the landscapes delighted us and the activities offered by Authentik Canada lived up to our expectations (apart from the black bear safari which lasted too long for our taste). What a pleasure to see humpback whales so close in Tadoussac!

Those do not appear in the printed version and if they should remain the course times must be adjusted.

2) Motorhome (residential vehicle in Quebec) provided by CruiseCanada. The vehicle part is built on a platform from the 80s and it really feels like being in a car from those years, consumption is in line with technology: 25l/100km on average while being very light on the pedal of accelerator. The technical equipment is very complete (tanks, pressurized water, fridge, water heater, heating, air conditioning and generator) but the style is also that of the US 80s. The habitability is very average and sleeping at 6 requires a certain organization. You have to be able to live outside, but that's not always possible. The kitchen equipment provided is very limited.

Motorhome travel: When your home and your vehicle are one, there are a lot of constraints. Leaving implies that everything is tidy and set up, so preparation. On the other hand, the size of the machine means that it is not always easy to stop and even less to park. We hesitate to make a small detour for a small village or a point of view. The main advantage is obviously the fact that you don't have to do anything and unpack your bags and that you don't have to go to a restaurant. Camping in the wilderness of national parks is a great experience allowed by the motorhome, so do not neglect this point. But you have to be aware of the constraints. To enjoy it a little more you need a motorhome with equipment allowing life outside: awning, tent with mosquito net, chairs,... [...]
