both my partner and I were attracted by Canada as a summer holidays destination for our family (2 children; 9 and 11 y old). We decided then to look around and see if we should arrange the trip by ourselves or trust local expert that would arrange it for us. We took the 2nd option for once. We probably paid a bit more than arranging it by ourselves but the quality, the punctuality, the professionalism and the easiness that Authentik Canada managed all this confiirmed us that we took the right decision,
the campings were very good, alterning some isolated camps (natural parks) and some more equipped ones that allowed us to use washing machine when it was necessary. The road book provided before the trip was a precious source of information that completed the information we found on site once we arrived on the place to visit.
the beauty of the landscape, the people, the food made us totally fall under admiration. We went 13 days with teh camping car. There is so much to discover that it sounds very few but well....we also combined it with a WE to NYC by bus. Was also a good option.
we were particularly impressed by La MAuricie. We could have spent our all holidays there: trekking, water sports, peaceful environment, great camping...everything was there.
children were also very happy with the experience...we could please everyone´s interests easily...from the canoe, to Zoo St Felicien, to Village Val Quartier in Quebec. We combined everything with geo-caching as well, which made it more entertaining and more interesting to discover a town or a new place.
what can be improved? the transfer back to our hotel in Montreal got delayed by 2hours. Pity when we have only few more hours left in town, but well...this is a detail compared to all the exceptional experience we had over 3 weeks.

However, we will not recommend this trip due to relations with the manager of Cruise Canada Montreal which went very badly, on the way out and back. We had an appointment at 11:30 a.m. to collect the vehicle. We expressed our astonishment because we had seen that this took place from 1 p.m. The person on the line confirmed the schedule, saying that a lot of people were expected that day. So we arrived in the morning and we had not even finished unloading the taxi from our suitcases when the manager was yelling at us, telling us that it was not good for us to come in the morning, that we were going to wait until 1 p.m. (we were with our three young children) and slammed the door in our faces. This gentleman continued to yell at us while telling us that we were going to get the RV (which was ready to go...). It ruined our day.
On the way back, we had not turned off the engine and he was already accusing us of a bump (which was not our fault), when I told him that it was not going to start again and cut me off yelling (this gentleman's only means of communication) to "shut up" otherwise he was going to "charge us". He took our keys even though we didn't even have time to get our children out of the vehicle even though it was very hot. We were only able to open the door when this gentleman deigned to give us the keys. He made his turn and then left without a word.
Second day wasted because of this gentleman.
We do not recommend the Cruise Canada branch in Montreal.

- car seat not suitable for the age of my 8 year old son, so we left without it, therefore illegally, but it was still charged

- the slides weren't working, we realized that on our first stop, but there was no assurance that repairs and taxi costs would be well taken care of, so we took the risk of "tweaking" the cables ourselves- even and fortunately we did not have any problem
Campsite reception hours are often not good. The first day we were very stressed to arrive at La Mauricie Park because we were going to arrive late (8 p.m. was announced as the deadline), and the number indicated did not allow us to reach anyone. In fact, we could arrive until 11 p.m.
The whale safari activity has been canceled due to a breakdown and we are still awaiting reimbursement.
Overall, therefore, a very stressful first day, with Canadream worries and the wrong schedule, but the rest went very well.

- payment: being 3 families, we wanted to share the costs in 3 accounts. The payment was claimed from a single family and it was not possible for Authentik Canada to indicate the distribution between the families...
- we finally wanted to book an RV through Authentik. Authentik had given us a deadline for the reservation which we respected. Despite this, more VR available... without our having been notified beforehand. We had to find an RV in a hurry on our own. The support did not seem satisfactory to us.
- the dates: we realized when we received the summary of the road trip that the first day was in Montreal, the city where we live! We have modified the roadtrip accordingly following numerous discussions with our advisor. The advice service did not seem up to par.
- Zodiac Tadoussac: the reservation for the whale safari was wrong. There was a baby (3 years old). it was not without its difficulties.
- Quebec: the visit of Quebec planned at the end of our raodtrip was not possible. Indeed, arriving in Quebec is almost impossible without paying the parking fee of $70, or $210 for our 3 RVs. No indication appeared on this subject in the raodtrip, nor any advice on the points to observe in the surroundings of Quebec; this while we had two nights at the campsite to visit Quebec.
