Board the Onondaga, the only submarine in Canada that is open to the public! Learn about the daily lives of the 70 men who lived for months at a time in this underwater vessel, which criss-crossed the North Atlantic from 1967 to 2000.
Take a fascinating tour of the submarine for a memorable trip through a piece of recent maritime history. Two audio guides are available: a discovery tour for families and a more technical tour that explains the inner workings of the submarine.
Then climb to the top of the 2nd-tallest lighthouse in Canada to admire the fantastic view of the river. Built in 1909, the Pointe-au-Père lighthouse played a central role in the history of navigation on the St. Lawrence River.
