Disappointing experience
We had a bad experience car rental with thrifty. When we picked the car up we were charged with $81,73 for a premium Location Charge. We also were offered with a prepaid fuel tank, that we accepted because the thrifty staff told us that the price that they were offering to us was cheaper than the one we would obtain in the returning area (Halifax). Our surprise was that the price they applied was $1,33 ltr when the price in Halifax was around $1,14 ltr so we felt cheated by the staff.
Also when we dropped the car off we were accused to made a small scratch when that scratch already was on the car when we picked it up in Vancouver. We didn't take any picture because we thought it was so small that it wasn't important.

One way hire fees hidden
One way hire fees we’re not adequately highlighted pre or post order.
This was finally done after last payment was made.
I may still have made booking knowing this info but I will never book with Authentik again and I’m doing all I can to warn others.
great car, mediocre services
We got a Chevrolet Suburban. The car itself was ok, but the delivery process (pickup etc.) was not.
The car was barely ready when we picked it up, still hot from the last trip, had scratches on different sides that we had to note and picture ourselves - they were not on any delivery report from Avis. And the car had a permanent warning message ('change engine oil soon'). When I brought this message up at the Avis office (after standing in line again for another half an hour), the guy simply replied that it shouldn't be a problem as long as I would not drive too far/many kilometers. Anyway, he could not do anything about it since he had no oil there. If I minded about the message, I could always buy some oil myself and poor it in. As long as I kept the receipt for the oil, I would get the money back.
On top of it all, we later found out (in daylight - in the dark garage of the airport we had not noticed) that the interior of the car was really dirty. Snack wrappers on the floor and inside the dashboard, stains from drinks in the door etc.

Everything went as planned
Car ready even though we arrived early. The car itself was a little dull, but reliable and did what we needed. Return was easy. All in all, good value and would use again.
Worked like a charm
The shuttle service in Montreal was very much appreciated. The agent complained that we left garbage in the car after we asked if we needed to clear out the paper from the maps. There wasn't a trash can to toss the paper in and she went on about there were trash cans but couldn't show us where they were. Weird!!!

Road trip
Great price attracted me to authtik Canada, but I was equally happy with the service from the agent.
Thrifty were good too, although I didn’t like their return charge at the end of the rental.

Very surprised how expensive the drop off fee was. $300 was not advertised

Nous avons loué une quinzaine de jours chez Avis Downtown Vancouver. Beaucoup de monde même tôt le matin à l'arrivée. On nous a confié la voiture sans aucune vérification carrosserie / intérieur. Le véhicule prévu n'était pas disponible, on nous a proposé un Suv Santa Fe en nous faisant croire que l'on était surclassé alors que c'était la classe inférieure ! Gros mensonge du préposé. Quelques jours avant de rendre la voiture, nous avons souhaité la garder 24h de plus. Par téléphone, le bureau nous dit ok pour 149 dollars de plus, mais à l'arrivée Ils ont ponctionné sur notre CB plus de 200 dollars ! Au retour, nous avons laissé la voiture au parking sans aucune vérification contradictoire et donc aucune certitude quant au fait qu'ils ponctionneraient ou non à nouveau sur notre CB s'ils trouvaient un défaut sur la voiture. All went well...
I was satisfied with Thrifty services. Pick-up and drop-off were quick and easy. The car was almost new and clean on the inside (not so much on the outside). There was no built-in navigation, but the multimedia screen was compatible with Apple CarPlay that allowed to use smartphone-based navigation. Hence, do not buy the expensive navigation option!

Thrifty good vw Jetta
However our experience with thrifty was great they were quick friendly and efficient
The car was a vw Jetta and it had plenty of room for 2 big suitcases 4 little suitcases and 2 rucksacks all in the boot

I booked via email with Valérie as none of the websites for car hire would allow pick up in Montreal and drop off in Toronto. She got me the car I wanted at a reasonable price. On collection of the car though it wasn’t what I ordered and the car rental firms in town office couldn’t or wouldn’t help. Valérie called round tirelessly to resolve and with a little help from an escalation within Avis managed to resolve. Exceptional service from Authentik Canada for my Car Rental
I booked my car rental through Authentik Canada, and am so glad I did. From the booking all the way to the day of Rental I received great support from Marie-Chloe. Booking your car rental or other services from Authentik Canada and you will be assured of help and support especially when there is an issue with the provider. When I went to Thrifty to get my STANDARD size car. The Thrifty staff Jason, who didn’t look happy when I turned down offers for upgrades and add-ones, gave me only two car choices, a Toyota Corolla and Nissan Sentra. I asked if he had VW Jetta but he told me he did not have anything else. I asked if the Corolla is a standard size, he said yes. So I had no choice but to take it. I asked if someone will assist me for the releasing, he said he was alone so he couldn’t assist me. No one else was at the parking to assist me. The Toyota Corolla I got turned out to be a bad performer. The tires were worn out and it struggled going uphill.
I decided to email Authentik Canada and Marie-Chloe promptly replied and advised me to exchange the car as the Corolla is a mid-size vehicle and not a standard size (as she confirmed with Thrifty). She also offered to talk to the Thrifty staff over the phone if I encounter any issue.
Thankfully, when I went back to YVR Thrifty, the staff at that time, Simon, was very friendly and accommodating and made things right, especially when I told him I will be driving to the Rockies. He upgraded my rental to a RAV4 mini SUV and waived the full tank return. The RAV4 performed superbly well especially for my Rockies Trip. Thank you Simon (Thrifty) and Marie-Chloe (Authentik Canada). I would highly recommend getting your services through AC.

Excelent experience
This was the first time que rented a car. The experience was wonderful from the beggining, with full attention from the Thrifty cashier Renne. The explanation was very clear. As our Arrival flight delayed (twice), another car (upgrade) was arranged after 15 minutes waiting. During the Rental time, the only issue was a failure of gas door when filling, but a friend helped and se could open the gas door. We made a call report to the Rental Company. A Pleasant Journey
We book the vehicle with almost half of the market price under the help of Authentik. Moreover, Avis upgrade our car to Suburban. We had a great trip for the past two weeks.

New car - no problems but do your home work re. insurances
Generally very satisfied with Autentik who made all the reservations. but felt pushed at the Thrifty pick-up couter to accept and pay expensive for extra insurances that genuinely probably are not needed - as far as we subsequently have been informed about.
