Was unaware of this facilitator service originally but was referred to it by a friend living locally. Top notch service in terms of communication, action response and rental assistance. Needed to modify rental dates and Authentik immediately assisted with my request. The only negative point in our rental was the condition of the car at pickup. It was not a damage issue or anything but rather a lack of cleaning issue. The downtown Vancouver Avis location had their vehicles parked 7 levels down where washing was most likely impossible. The interior of the car was acceptable but exterior looked as though it hadn't been washed for a few rentals. I've never had this issue with other rental companies in the past and I hope Authentik could pass this on to Avis somehow. [...]

Car rental Montréal collect and drop Toronto
Pick up was easy to find despite airport roadwork! Super easy to take out extra insurance and helpful staff. Car was perfect for our needs we did around 3200km on our trip, comfortable and easy to drive. Drop off was simple well signposted and greeted by Staff where to park.
Reasonably priced car hire
Car was suitable for our needs, adaptive cruise control was a bonus. Unlimited mileage was great for the distance we travelled and the one way hire fitted our needs. Nothing to dislike.

PEI tour
We had booked a midsize vehicle and were given a Nissan Kicks. It was very comfortable and had room in the hatch for our 4 carry-on sized bags and our numerous smaller bags. It handled very well and the cruise control was great.
Standard car - efficient and friendly service - expensive
We feel Authentik and/or National could have provided better directions to reach the rental location in Downtown Toronto.
The address leads to a building entrance, yet the rental office is a 10 minute walk away in another building at level -2 / National doesn't appear on signage - and in fact, there is no signage
We waited close to an hour in a parking lot. There are no chairs or nowhere clean to place the luggage while waiting.
Cars are driven inches away from people waiting.
The whole experience could be avoided with some warning and clearer directions from the agency and the car rental company

Good service, clean reliable new car.
VW Taos SUV, 5 passenger, one of which was a 4 year old in a booster seat; there was adequate room.
The boot held 2 large and 3 smaller suitcases plus 5 backpacks when packed strategically.
Adequate power for driving distances. Air con worked well.

Excellent car at a reasonable price
We were 4 people on a 7 days trip trough the Rockies. Our car was very new, comfortable and spacious, accomodating all our luggage. Easy check in and drop off
Lack of information after booking
After booking through Authentik, with option to pay later, the confirmation email didn't provide any confirmation or tracking number. I called the provider who happened to be Avis and they couldn't find anything in their system under my name. Trying to contact Authentik was very difficult and time consuming!

All was fine except we had to add air twice to the driver side front wheel. We advised the staff member who checked our car when we returned it.
Needs to be more clarity about Insurance cover
As a non-Canadian, we were not covered by insurance and this was not very clear, on booking. We should be informed that we would need to take insurance cover for the period. I assumed we were but when we got to airport were told that we probably were not - could not find documents from AuthentikCanada (which I should have looked for prior to arrival). Also, the car hire companies always try and offer you a BIGGER car, which is a little bit annoying. Saying that, we were happy and did get the full cover which was an added expense. [...]
Great experience
First time Authentik customers. Car rental price was much less expensive than others. Rental agreement and payment straightforward. Reminder emails from Authentic included directions and helpful info regarding pick-up. AVIS personnel friendly, efficient and helpful. All around great experience. Thank you!
Questionable Damage and poor followup
We loved the car. But when we returned it the staff pointed out a wrinkled wheel well - something we had not noticed in the dimly lit parking garage during the pre-rental inspection. Besides, this previous damage has obviously been repainted. Why did not AVIS include it on the damage “map” provided at pre-rental? We kept the car on our private property the entire week we used it. No public parking lots. Virtually non-existent opportunity for damage.
AVIS listened to my dispute and promised to follow up. That was a week ago and we nave not heard. I suppose no news is good news but it sure would have been good to have been vindicated from this damage accusation.

Got a great rate through Authentik Canada and while usually such rates have some hidden cost, this one was hassle-free. Got a nice car too. Would use again if needed.

We rented this vehicle during our trip through Canada and were very happy with our choice.
The Buick Enclave was spacious, luxurious, quiet, and very comfortable!
The rental company was excellent as well: friendly, professional staff and a smooth process from start to finish.
Calgary Thrifty
Collected the car at Calgary airport, the car wasn’t clean inside at all but worse we came to realise the brakes were very poor and much worse than the same car we had in Toronto. There was no satellite radio and no way to add it even though I would have paid. Overall the car was cheap and the only 7 seat I could find at Calgary sadly
Great service, made it an easy seamless process
Great service from Authetik Canada and Dollar. Price we managed to get was hard to beat and included extras we were after. The pickup was at the terminal so was easy to get to, queue wasnt too long so didn't take too long to get our car. They managed to upgrade both of our cars to an XC90, which were ideal with the kids! Return was simple and only extra charge was the fuel to full. [...]
