Prise en charge facile au comptoir et voiture très satisfaisante

Après une attente importante au comptoir Avis (env. 1h) et plusieurs cas de réservations qui semblaient long et complexe, nous avons été servis en moins de 5 minutes par l’agent. Le tout a été très efficace, ce que nous redoutions, et l’automobile (Nissan Versa 2021) était en parfaite condition et forte agréable à conduire.

My rental experience: I generally like the rental service with Authentic, but this time it was excessively expensive (almost the cost of a second hand car), and the rental company, AVIS, added an additional hidden charge of $150.00 at the outset for "costs of changing winter to summer tyres"! Why should the customer should pay this cost? And, why are hidden costs allowed when one buys "full coverage", especially at such extreme rates? It is not correct. Also, the car I was given (not the one described in the rental agreement with Authentik) did not have a lid over the trunk, and so all contents of the trunk (i.e., luggage) were fully exposed; this is inadequate given that most rentals are to tourists with luggage. AVIS should lower their prices, absorb their own standard maintenance costs, and provide cars fit for tourist renters. [...]

Good car for 7 people. AWD model would have been better

Thank you for the car rental. I received a Kia Secona in the end and was a great car but an AWD mkdel would have been better as I was driving in snow and ice conditions.
Car was as new and very clean.

Overall good experience

Picking up the car was straightforward and the staff were helpful in changing the make/type to one more suiteparking gad to our needs than the one allocated. The car was clean and well prepared. There were no problems during the hire period.

Returning the car in Toronto was more difficult. The directions led to the office only to find that the car had to be taken to an underground parking garage. This was not straight forward to get to due to the one way system, traffic, etc. The directions given should be to the drop off point in the parking garage not to the office.

The final invoice included the one way fee as expected but also an additional prime location charge which had not been in the quote. However this was soon sorted out by Authentik and the charge was refunded. Thanks. [...]

Great experience

Everything with the car rental went very smoothly. I even recieved a free vehicle upgrade at pickup.

rental troubles

Car rental office had moved - company provided pick up service but did not do the same when we returned the car.
Car also ran out of oil in a remote location - seems it had not been well serviced before we picked it up

Everything perfect

All was perfect. No waiting time to pick up the car, everything prepared as ordered, even received an upgrade to a higher category (SUV) which became very handy in the Rockies. And all at a very reasonable price. Also appreciated the online travel guide which was provided through Authentik Canada, very helpful.

Exactly as ordered

Car was just what we’d ordered, staff were efficient and not overly pushy about ‘Premium Breakdown Cover’ or paying extra to reduce the insurance excess (bought cover for this in the UK for around £50!). Car did have a deep scratch in the paint which we found during our inspection before we drove it for the first time (marked it on the paperwork and took a datestamped photo just in case of any problems on hand-back (they’re weren’t any ????). Not clean, but ran fine. Extra sale at pick up did not impress me

Had a Buick Encore, wasn't very clean but ran fine. Didn't appreciate the guy convincing us we needed a GPS package whilst picking up the car. He had us scared that we would be lost without it, which I'm condident now is far from the truth. Drop off in Vancouver was very simple.

Fast and even with a complimentary upgrade so very happy, please advice to bring along your passport also for car rental pick up as it was compulsory.

Good car rental with confidence. Everything went super easy. Make sure your credit card actually shows the name of the driver. If not, it could be more expensive.

Very good experience

Very easy pick up of the vehicle in Calgary and very easy drop-off in Vancouver. Polite agents and a good cost. We also got a last minute car upgrade for the same price since the model we booked wasn't available. Car was Hyundai Elantra - new model, clean and nice with low fuel consumption.

Easy process

Had requested a Chevrolet Spark or similar small vehicle, but was provided with an intermediate size Toyota Corolla due to no availability at no extra cost. Was very happy with the service and easy pick up and drop off process. Very reasonable price for our 13 day car hire and would definitely use again.

Pick up & drop off of the vehicle was made easy at Thrifty Downtown Vancouver. The staff were pleasant, efficient & we were lucky enough to have the car brought right out front for us so we didn't have to navigate the parking garage..
We travelled over British Columbia and Alberta & the Ford Taurus was a great car. Fuel efficient & comfort was top notch.

Good deal on the car

Perfect

We did not get the car ,we initially chose,but we got alternative options for similar car. The Jeep 4x4 was great and no issues during our stay. If you need a reliable car do choose the Jeep Comfort Limited with massive GPS screen and the GPS was very reliable. Checking in and out with Thriffty was very smooth and staff were very approachable.

Valerie from Authentik was very prompt and she answered all my questions. Rent with confidence from Authentik. Will use it again. [...]

Frist surprise, after satisfaction

First when we arrived to office we went comunicated that the price was USD300 plus taxe more due to we droop the vehicle in other place. Well dont undestand this because in our order I was very clear Pick up in Toronto and droop in Montreal. but we were in vacation and we need the car. After this we are informed that they no have the same model car and we recive other more smaller but the cost for droop is reduced to USD100 plus tax. we decide acepted because we were in vacation.
The car was ok and no had more problems and droop it was very fast and easy.
I don't understand the first situation because the diference of two types of car exist and I don't undestand the cost of droop on car in other airport with same company and inside and a city like Montreal.
In spain you can pickup one car at Barcelona and droop at Madrid whitout extra cost and if the compny no have the car offered they supply other one of more high category whiout extra cost. and the the companny is the same Thrifty or Hertz.
